I've never understood the people who drink decaf coffee, and from my observations, I would say that it's mainly old people that do this. Apparently they drink it for the taste, which is pretty much the last reason I drink coffee. Decaf is like putting water in my gas tank.
When I drink coffee, I feel smarter, so I feel more confident in my capabilities. Add caffeine to the equation and I turn into a tornado of productivity. I'm able to focus and get my work done more efficiently. I drink about two cups of coffee a day during the week, but I drink a bottle of water in between those two cups in order to dilute the insane amount of energy I've built up. I once saw the muscles in my arm twitching after downing two cups of coffee in about 30 minutes, so I figured spacing it out was a good idea.
And for you recycling fanatics, I've been using the same plastic water bottle since I started my job. I've named it Arnold, and I accidentally threw him in the trash the other day without thinking. I gasped and immediately dug him out, apologizing and rinsing him off. My water bottle and I have the same kind of relationship Tom Hanks and Wilson had in Cast Away. (I cried the first time I saw that part, by the way. *manly grunt*)
Here's Arnold with the disheveled label I've used to claim him.
So how much caffeine are you drinking during the day? Any unusual relationships with inanimate objects?

Tell me more about health, Sam.
I have a caffeine IV drip by my side at all times.
You might want to change the plastic bottle. It's breeding ground for evil oompa-loompas.

lol hilarious that u rec'd yourself
Eh, do you always make a habit of rec'ing your own blogs!? Regardless...Coke Zero reminds me of your decaf comment...you've taken everything out of it but the carbonation...which is bad for the bones...so why not drink water? Anyway, isn't there something bad about reusing plastic...I don't even know...maybe it's just the germs. Either way, you'll have to tell me how to make a sign like the one claiming the bottle...that's nice.
2 cups a day is too much for me.
I think 2 cups per week or even less would be average.
Don't want to get caffeine addicted to the point where it doesn't keep me awake.
... I remember labelling my water bottle when I was young!
Hey, but don't you know that it's not good to recycle using PET water bottles? You should get the ones made out of "hard plastic". They're more durable and won't release chemicals like the PET ones.
Reusing plastic bottles causes the plastic bottles to break down over time. And when they break down, all that broken-down stuff gets into your water, then your mouth, then your throat, then your stomach, etc...
But I think we all do it anyways.
Haha, I'll be back to read more.
Hmm, I like coffee, but I don't drink it often. Maybe I dunno.. once a month? Not even sometimes. I had a thing for tea for a while, but it stopped. I do not have any unusual relationships with inanimate objects... unless we're talking about my books. Other than that, my other best friend is my Zune, which is still called Zune.
@vanedave@xanga - What happens when you crash? Or do you ever crash?
@XINERGY@xanga - Yeah, I've heard it's not good to re-use them, but I can't tear myself away from Arnold at this point.
@jediwa72@xanga - This is the first time I've ever rec'd my own blog!!! Maybe I'll have a blog that will show you a nice label design for water bottles.
@niez_cho@xanga - Just because Arnold isn't "hard plastic" doesn't mean he isn't a good water bottle. Stop picking on him!
@sam - I never crash. Like I said it is ALWAYS by my side.
no coffee for me because i'm el cheapo. coffee costs $$$.
Btw, is Arnold's last name Schwarzenegger?
@sam - Keep Arnold around, but refrain from drinking out of him. Use a new bottle every couple of days, or something.
@niez_cho@xanga - *LOL* I brew a quad-shot espresso for breakfast.
@sam - Please do. Step by step instructions will be needed...it looks complicated!
usually about 1 to 2 8oz cups in a day... when i worked at starbucks though it was an entirely different story. As for inatimate objects, if my baby blanket (i call it care bear blankie) is being transported on a plane it has to be in my cary on... i dont trust the people that handle my check in bags...
Coffee every once in a blue moon mixed with hot chocolate when I haven't made it to the gym and feel like I'm going to fall on my face if I don't have adrenaline or caffeine pumping through my veins.
I have a laundry basket, a trash can, and a bucket with which I am rather particular. I also have two water bottles that I consistently reuse. One I got in France and don't want to throw away simply because of that. The other I got in Macy's because my friend was taking forEVER to find a dress and shoes and I was thirsty. That stupid bottle of water was so overcharged I'm getting more than my money's worth out of it seven months later.
I drink decaf coffee because I have a tiny build.
My freshman year in college I discovered the wonderful world of independent coffee chains and espresso drinks. I also discovered that caffeine in immoderate doses (maybe 2 cups of coffee) makes me... a little crazy.
hahaha i love how you commented your own post.
anywaysss...
i used to drink coffee maybe once a day a few days a week before school, so id wake up. but once i got sick from it over the summer, i've been afraid to drink it ever since haha. i guess it's good that i stopped, considering i'm 15 and it would probably stunt my growth or something crazy.
@La_dolce_vida@xanga - Hmm, he doesn't have a last name yet. That's something else I'll create during one of my many bored moments.
@MyTinyWrist@xanga - I wouldn't trust anyone with my baby blanket either - "pretty part" I called it.
And yeah, when I worked at Barnes and Noble, which had Starbucks, I lived off the white chocolate mochas.
@trebleclef402@xanga - Yeah, I take drink an energy drink before I go to the gym. How much was the water? I paid $5 at a concert for a Sprite one time. I should have saved that bottle as well.
@tenigee@xanga - Haha, so for you, coffee is like alcohol!
@laurenmaureen@xanga - I don't understand how or why caffeine stunts growth. That's something else I'll need to investigate.
@sam - caramel machiato person myself... that or when we got bored and the store was empty we'd have esspresso downing contests (flavored with one pump of vanilla syrup).
Oh man, you're too much. Nice layout picture!
Btw, reusing that water bottle is not safe because of all the chemicals in the plastic that goes into your water.
Oh nooo...I'm subscribing to a healthkicker blog!
Not a huge caffeine person. More of a sugar person. =D. While I think reusing water bottles are great--I think you should change them once in a while so that germ-things *yes, germ-things* don't accumulate in Arnold and give him cancer.
I have a deep relationship with my stuffed animals. They're all named. They're so cute. :3
ahaha..i only drink coffee on occasion.
hmmm i have friends that name their car and baby it a lot...
It depends on how productive I want to be that day. It ranges from 1-4 cups of coffee. I pulled a lot of all nighters during final weeks. =)
